Design And Implementation Of Stand-alone Photovoltaic System
Résumé: This work describes the Standalone Photovoltaic System (grid off) using dsPIC (digital signal controller) to develop a signal processing or control system. The complete design, Matlab/Simulink simulation and hardware implementation of the system are performed. Standalone PV power generation system is compromising several elements like solar cells, DC/DC converter, Maximum power point tracking circuit, battery charge controller, inverter and the load. In electrical engineering the basic dominant variables are the current and the voltage. To achieve reliable and efficient power generation from photovoltaic systems; a Boost converter is used to steps up the voltage to required magnitude. Perturb and observe (P&O) maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method has been used. The MPPT is responsible for extracting the maximum possible power from the PV system under various lighting conditions. A four-MOSFET bridge inverter that takes DC power supplied by a solar panel and transforms it into AC power source. Simulation and experimental results are provided and commented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the design.
