موقف الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية من الأطماع الفرنسية في ليبيريا The Position Of The United States Of America On French Ambitions In Liberia

Résumé: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على دور الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في المحافظة على استقلال ليبيريا، باعتبارها الدولة الوحيدة التي لم تستعمر في القارة الإفريقية، ومنذ تاريخ تأسيسها، اعتبرتها القوى الاستعمارية و على رأسهم - فرنسا- عقبة أمام توسعها الاستعماري في غرب إفريقيا، كما اعتبرت وجودها تحدياً صارخاً للسيطرة الأوروبية على الأراضي الإفريقية، فبالرغم من السياسة الخارجية التي انتهجتها الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تجاه ليبيريا، إلا أن الأخطار الخارجية كانت أكبر عائق يهدد أمن واستقلال جمهورية ليبيريا، هذه الاخيرة –ليبيريا- عانت من الصراعات الداخلية والخارجية من طرف الامبريالية الأوروبية من أجل استعمار أراضيها، فسارعت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بتقديم المساعدات وتوطيد علاقاتها السياسية مع جمهورية ليبيريا. This study aims to highlight the role of the United States of America in maintaining the independence of Liberia, as the only country that has not been colonized on the African continent, and since its founding, the colonial powers, led by France, regarded its presence as an obstacle to its colonial expansion in West Africa, and considered its presence a blatant challenge to European control over African territory. Despite the foreign policy of the United States of America towards Liberia, foreign threats were the greatest threat to the security and independence of the Republic of Liberia, which suffered from internal conflicts. The United States of America was quick to provide assistance and strengthen its political relations with the Republic of Liberia.
