The study of the written press about conflicts in the Middle East, sometimes very old, often raises controversy. In this context, the media treatment favors geopolitics as an angle of analysis. This is the main finding raised when we study the media discourse on issues affecting conflict in the Middle East. The press in general in the Arab world, or elsewhere, either voluntarily or involuntarily, emphasizes a given news by focusing exclusively on defined themes and polarized opinions. Journalists do not put events into perspective, especially historical ones: in some cases, the press lacks hindsight and historical analysis. This conclusion made on the work of the press must of course be qualified. The job of the press is not to do historical analysis. It is above all a work of historians. The press nevertheless provides historical reminders, although insufficient to fully understand the complex conflicts and contexts often used by adversaries in a conflict to justify their rights.
