Résumé: الإستشراق تعبير يدل على الاتجاه نحو الشرق ويطلق على من يبحث في أمور الشرقيين وثقافتهم وتاريخهم، ويقصد به ذلك التيار الفكري الذي يمثل حضارته وأديانه وآدابه ولغاته وثقافته. تعددت دوافع الاستشراق منها دينية وثقافية و علمية إلى جانب الدوافع السياسية والاقتصادية وأخيرا الاستعمارية. عرف الاستشراق تطورا من حيث المناهج والأهداف حتى أصبح مدارس خاصة كل منها يحمل طابعا مميزا، و من أبرز هذه المدارس نذكر المدرسة الفرنسية، الايطالية، الروسية، الأمريكية، الألمانية، وقد اشتركت كلها في دراسة التراث العربي الإسلامي بمختلف جوانبه إلا أنها اختلفت من حيث الأسلوب و الخصائص. أحدث الاستشراق آثارا اجتماعية خطيرة في البلاد الإسلامية من حيث البنية الاجتماعية وبناء الأسرة والعلاقة بين الرجل والمرأة وذلك بتشويه مكانة المرأة في الإسلام ونشر المزاعم اضطهاد للمرأة وتشجيع الدعوات لتحريرها، وفي المغرب العربي تعاون الاستشراق والاستعمار. Orientalism is an expression of the trend towards the East and is called the one who looks at the Orientals, their culture and their history, and is meant by that intellectual stream which represents its civilization, religions, etiquette, languages and culture. We can categorize orientalists into three distinct categories. There is a category that has presented the world with research that has been established, valued, deep, fair and fair in its rule towards the oriental culture in general, and praised Islam and its greatness, the Prophet peace be upon him and the culture and civilization of the East in general. The second category has intentionally insulted everything related to the Eastern culture and the Islamic religion, and there is a third category of orientalists who are unable to Arabic language and do not know their origins and the history of Arabs and Muslims or ignorant of the Islamic religion or shortcomings in academic research fair and signed in the forbidden, Above, we can classify these into: A) The Orientalists are fair: B) B - The Orientalists are unjust: C - Orientalists are inadvertently unjust:
