La Symbolique De La Conscience Existentielle Dans L’effacement De Samir Toumi

Résumé: Samir Toumi explores through his novel entitled - L’Effacement “Obliteration” -the intricacies of a tormented existence. Between mnemonic and existential narrative, the novel describes the basis of a collective memory to which is related that of the main character. Also, the novel reveals through psychotherapy the confessions of a man suffering from the obliteration syndrome. This article aims to understand the mechanisms of the obliteration of the main character. Thus, at first we will try to make sense and figure out of the symbolism of the existential consciousness for a man exceeded by his feeling of disappearance. Secondly, we will focus on the narrative allusions that adorn the novel with textual signs. On this subject, La Nausée by Jean Paul Sartre would be a revealing key or even a writing strategy.
