La Séroprévalence De La Toxoplasmose Chez La Femme Enceinte Dans La Région D'adrar
Résumé: Toxoplasmosis is one of the most common parasitic diseases in pregnant women. It is a cosmopolitan anthropozoonosis due to Toxoplasma gondii, most often responsible for an inapparent or benign infection, but its occurrence during pregnancy can be serious due to the transmission of the parasite to the fetus which exposes it to congenital toxoplasmosis. We were interested in the study of the determination of the seroprevalence of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women in the region of Adrar. For this, a statistical study was carried out on 354 pregnant women using data archived in the laboratories. on the other hand by conducting a cross-sectional epidemiological survey in the field carried out between public hospital structures and private practices (gynecologists and midwives) in the same region to determine the risk factors associated with toxoplasma infection within this population. The seroprevalence was 15.82%, the majority of women being then non-immune and requiring monthly follow-up, until the end of pregnancy and respecting the hygiene and dietary measures. The contamination risk factors identified are the consumption of undercooked meat, direct contact with the cat, the consumption of poorly washed food and the consumption of raw milk. This study underlines the interest of the systematic determination of the immune status of women, the surveillance of seronegative women, and the importance of awareness and information in terms of prevention.
