Elimination D’un Colorant Azoïque Par Des Procédés D’oxydation Avancée
Résumé: Azo dyes are chemical compounds which are characterized by their azo (-N=N-) chromophore functional group. They are used in several fields for example: dyeing leather, fur and chemical fibber spinning bath. This type of dyes is persistent and non biodegradable pollutant with toxic effects on human health and the environment This work consists the study of elimination of the azo dye (red congo), by the following advanced oxidation processes: Fenton and photo-Fenton, and influence of several parameters ( pH, initial concentration of Fe²⁺ ions and the concentration of H₂O₂ ) on the efficiency of degradation of this pollutant with these AOPs. The destruction of this substance was followed by UV/visible spectro-photometry and the best results were obtained by applied the UV/ H₂O₂ process.
