سياسة بريطانيا تجاه الجزائر (1580-1816)

Résumé: أصبحت الجزائر ولاية عثمانية بسبب الصراع العثماني الاسباني في الحوض الغربي للبحر الأبيض المتوسط في بداية القرن السادس عشر، حين ساعد الحكم العثماني، وتم تأسيس البحرية الجزائرية لتحرير الثغور البحرية الجزائرية وإنقاذ المهاجرين الاندلسيين من الاضطهاد الاسباني، فاكتسبت الجزائر مكانة دولية في حوض البحر الابيض المتوسط، وبالمقابل حصلت انجلترا (927-1649م) على الامتيازات الأجنبية في الدولة العثمانية سنة 1580، ولكن بعد القضاء على الأرمادا الاسبانية سنة 1588، بدأ اهتمام انجلترا بمصالحها التجارية والقنصلية في الجزائر. ولقد عرفت سياسة انجلترا تجاه الجزائر تحولا من الصداقة والسلم الى العداء والحرب منذ بداية القرن السابع عشر، وتكررت الاعتداءات البحرية لبريطانيا (1707-1800) على الجزائر حتى بداية القرن التاسع عشر، فكانت حملة المملكة المتحدة بقيادة اللورد إكسموث سنة 1816 بالتحالف مع حملة هولندا، قد أضعفت البحرية الجزائرية أمام القوى البحرية الأوروبية Algeria became an Ottoman state because of the Ottoman-Spanish conflict in the western basin of the Mediterranean Sea at the beginning of the sixteenth century, when the Ottoman rule was assisted. The Algerian Navy was established to liberate the Algerian sea ports and rescue the Andalusian immigrants from the Spanish persecution. Algeria gained an international status in the Mediterranean basin, On the other hand, England obtained (927-1649) foreign concessions in the Ottoman Empire in 1580, but after the elimination of the Spanish Armada in 1588, England began to pay attention to its commercial and consular interests in Algeria. England's policy toward Algeria was transformed from friendship and peace to hostility and war from the beginning of the seventeenth century. The British attacks of 1870-1707 against Algeria were repeated until the beginning of the nineteenth century. The British campaign led by Lord Exmouth in 1816, Has weakened the Algerian navy before European naval forces.
