Résumé: Abstract: Since ancient times, human thought has tended to interpret natural and social phenomena with a metaphysical, not scientific, interpretation that has its convincing justifications, through a narrative that has gained sanctity, which was later called myth. However, with scientific development, the truth of phenomena became clear and the unseen was moved away from. As for the literary aspect, poets needed to experiment with new artistic elements that express the world and what is lost within it and interpret it with a different, symbolic and more beautiful vision that is in line with the taste and thought of the reader. So the myth, which was sought after by primitive man for the truth, was their symbolic refuge. This makes us wonder: How did they employ it? Was their employment of it a cognitive padding? Or a cognitive, symbolic, and aesthetic enlightenment? And what were their methods in doing so? الملخص: اتجه الفكر الإنساني منذ القديم إلى تفسير الظواهر الطبيعية والاجتماعية تفسيرا ميتافيزيقيا لا علميا له مبرراته المقنعة، من خلال سرد حكائي نال قداسته، سمي فيما بعد بالأسطورة، ولكن مع التطور العلمي اتضحت حقيقة الظواهر وتم الابتعاد عن الغيبيات. أما من الناحية الأدبية فقد احتاج الشعراء إلى تجريب عناصر فنية جديدة تعبر عن العالم وعن المفقود بين ثناياه وتفسيره برؤيا مغايرة رمزية وأكثر جمالا تتماشى مع ذوق القارئ وفكره، فكانت الأسطورة الباحثة عن الحقيقة من قبل الإنسان البدائي ملاذهم الرمزي، هذا يجعلنا نتساءل: كيف وظفوها؟ وهل كان توظيفهم لها حشوا معرفيا؟ أم استنارة معرفية، رمزية، جمالية؟ وماهي طرقهم في ذلك؟
