Improving The Efl Teacher’s Proficiency Using Ict In The Algerian Middle School
Résumé: The use of information and communication technology is not yet widely spread in the Algerian Middle school language classrooms because of the challenges in using them effectively by the language teacher and the absence of such tools in some, if not in most of the schools. The purpose of this study is to examine the importance of using Information and Communication Technology in the Algerian Middle Schools in order to improve the language teacher’s proficiency and develop the teaching skills through it. The data were collected from two different classrooms: experimental classroom and control classroom. A Comparative study of the findings led to form the picture that results gleaned from the experimental classroom were positive ones and reflected the modern language teacher’s attitudes in appreciating the use of technological tools.
