Preliminaries On The Structural Aspects Of A Spoken Variety: A Case Study
Résumé: This paper presents the various features of the phonetic/phonemic structures of the system of TRT, a spoken variety in Tiaret. Although we are not concerned here by the historical development that caracterise this variety, the history of population contact and diffusion that underlie TRT is of a matter of interest since it allows us to get some linguistic data. The section on the segmental aspect of TRT, as its titles implies, covers mainly the phonetic/phonemic inventories of TRT. It also examines some phonological processes such as vowel lowering and vowel centralisation.
