Mise En Évidence De L’intrusion Marine Vers Les Aquifères Côtiers : Cas De La Plaine De Mitidja Orientale
Résumé: The plain of Mitidja is located in the hinterland of Algiers and covers an area of 1,450 km2. Its aquifer system consists of the alluvium of the quaternary and of the sandstone or Greecelimestone formations of the pliocene. The interpretation of the geophysical data result’s (2013) indicates that the area affected by the marine intrusion is that which extends from Bordj El Kiffan to the right bank of Oued El Hamiz. The comparison of the piezometry of 2014 with that of 1983 shows a lowering of the level of the aquifer, with a reversal of the flow direction. The study of the evolution of the water chemistry of this aquifer (2017) leads us to conclude that the mineralization of water is accentuated towards the sea .this indicates a potential marine invasion towards the aquifer coastal.
