Résumé: In recent decades, technology has undergone rapid development, with artificial intelligence being one of the technologies that is garnering increasing attention. This development has begun to have a discernible impact on various aspects of our lives, including academic writing. Over time, academic writing has transformed into a methodology characterized by its rules and organization. Nevertheless, the incorporation of artificial intelligence within the realm of academic writing has the potential to bring about significant changes in the composition and editing of academic texts. This article endeavors to investigate the capacity of artificial intelligence to transform the terrain and trajectory of academic writing. It aims to scrutinize the role of artificial intelligence in the future of academic writing and to assess the ramifications of artificial intelligence on the potential future of academic writing. Moreover, this study endeavors to analyze the constructive outcomes and potential hurdles that may arise. The present study employed an analytical descriptive approach to address the raised inquiries and subsequently draw conclusions that underscored the significance of integrating artificial intelligence with human abilities in the domain of forthcoming scholarly writing. While AI holds potential as a formidable ally in the future of academic writing, it is imperative to exercise caution when employing AI so as to uphold human ingenuity and academic distinctiveness.
