Résumé: ملخص: يذكر بعض المؤرخين أن الفتوحات الاسلامية ساهمت في تفكك وحدة العالم المتوسطي، وبالتالي تحميل العرب مسؤولية تحطيم حضارة المغرب الموروثة في أغلبها عن الحضارة الرومانو بيزنطية،ومنهم المؤرخ البلجيكي هنري بيران في كتابه الشهير محمد وشارلمان أن الفتوحات الإسلامية هي التي قضت على الإمبراطورية الرومانية وحطمت وحدة البحر المتوسط مما أدى الى تغير ميزان القوى فيه وقضت على الحركة التجارية الأوربية في البحر المتوسط، وعملت على قطع العلاقات التجارية بين الشرق و الغرب، وتحول البحر المتوسط من بحيرة رومانية إلى بحيرة عربية إسلامية، وبذلك أصبح الاقتصاد الأوربي اقتصادا مغلقا، فانهار العالم القديم و بدأت العصور الوسطى؛ ولكن المؤرخين المسلمين تصدوا لهذه النظرية وأثبتوا عدم جدواها Abstract: Some historians point out that Islamic conquests have contributed to the disintegration of the unity of the Mediterranean world and therefore to the responsibility of the Arabs to destroy the civilization of Morocco, inherited largely from Romano-Byzantine civilization, including the Belgian historian Henri Perrin in his famous book Muhammad and Charlemagne. This led to a change in the balance of power within it, the suppression of the European trade movement in the Mediterranean and the cutting off of trade relations between East and West and the transformation of the Mediterranean Sea from a Roman lake to a Arab-Muslim lake, So the European economy became closed, the ancient world collapsed and the Middle Ages began, but Muslim historians were against this theory, and they proved its futility.
