Résumé: تحاول هذه الدراسة إبراز قيمة التجنيد في الجيش الجزائري أواخر الفترة العثمانية، مع إبراز الأليات الجديدة التي استعملها الدايات، و كيف فشلت سياسة التجنيد أواخر العهد العثماني؟ لماذا تمكنت قوات الاحتلال الفرنسي من هزيمة الجيش الجزائري بسرعة فائقة، لم يتوقعها العدو أنذاك. This study attempts to highlight the value of conscription in the Algerian army at the end of the Ottoman period, highlighting the new mechanisms used by Pacha, and how the conscription policy failed at the end of the Ottoman era? Why were the French occupation forces able to defeat the Algerian army very quickly, which the enemy did not expect at the time?
