Résumé: يهدف موضوع هذا البحث للتعرض إلى التصورات العامة للباحثين العرب الذين تفاعلوا مع الدراسات الاستشراقية والمناهج التي اتبعها هؤلاء الباحثين العرب، والمنشأ الثقافي لشخصياتهم، ودرجة ارتباطهم بالتغريب. فقد نظر "طه حسين" إلى التراث العربي القديم نظرة غربية حديثة، من خلال ما طرح من مواضيع مثيرة للجدل في مجال اللغة والأدب العربي، مما ساهم دون شك في تطوير الحركة الأدبية والفكرية في الوطن العربي. وقد جلب له ذلك سخط جهات عديدة وجهت له ادعاءات خطيرة تفتقر في بعض الأحيان إلى الرؤية المتفحصة، فثار عليه أنصار القديم بسبب طمسه جهود النقاد العرب القدماء، واصطدم بالتالي بالاعتراضات المعروفة، تقول هذه الاعتراضات بأن "طه حسين" كان واقع تحت سيطرة منهج الشك الديكارتي، وما دام واقع تحت تأثيره جعله ذلك ينكر الشعر الجاهلي، وقد تم ذلك على حساب القديم. The subject of this research aims to expose the general perceptions of Arab researchers who interacted with orientalist studies and the methods followed by these Arab researchers, the cultural origin of their personalities, and the degree of their association with Westernization. Taha Hussein looked at the ancient Arab heritage as a modern Western view, through controversial subjects in the field of Arabic language and literature, which undoubtedly contributed to the development of literary and intellectual movement in the Arab world.
