Los Baños De Argel: Simbiosis Entre Realidad Histórica Y Ficción Dramática De Miguel Cervantes

Résumé: A great part of the perpetrators of these XVI report the facts on the basis of their own experience. One of the authors who have reflected in his works on the lives of captives was Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, creator of "Don Quixote", a masterpiece of Spanish and universal literature. The question of his captivity that looms large in some of his works as "The Baths of Algiers", The work of Miguel de Cervantes is marked by a close relationship between aesthetic and historical practices. Miguel de Cervantes is also a testimony revealer of Algiers. This place is then a reflection of his captivity and later life; it is the creative source where its narrative comedy unfolds. The five years have been for the writer Cervantes, a flourishing period of his literary and creative activities. In "The Baths of Algiers", although Cervantes gives us some data of his own life, mixed with extraordinary events, we are not able to know, in detail, what kind of life did so have because all information were widespread. The comedy is based on the antagonistic protagonists: Moore /Christian: Zahara and Don Lope, based on a love story at the time. Contrary to what one might expect, the psychology of the characters is drawn, as the author focuses all its efforts on the action of the play and the rapid succession of scenes. With this and other comedies, Cervantes tried to compete with the new comedy of Lope de Vega.
