Résumé: This research aims to study the effectiveness of public expenditure in targeting the economic growth in Algeria in light of the almost total dependence on oil resources to finance public expenditure, which is characterized by fluctuating prices. Therefore, the development of public expenditure and economic growth rates in Algeria during the period 1990-2016 has been analyzed. A standard study using ARDL, where economic growth was expressed by real GDP as a dependent variable and both current spending (management expenditure) and Sahara Bland prices, were used as independent variables, the results showed On the other hand, there is a weak positive relationship between economic growth and the structure of public spending in Algeria, in contrast to a negative non-significant relationship between oil prices and economic growth in Algeria
