The Effects Of Using Authentic Materials In Developing Listening Comprehension
Résumé: The present study aims at finding out that authentic material have great role in improving the listening comprehension in general for language learners and specific for English language learners. Authentic speech is considered as an effective tool in learning foreign language since this later is too different from the mother tongue. For that many researchers had searched about solutions and materials which can help improving the listening comprehension such as using authentic materials. In this study, I use tow main questionnaire, the first one designed to teachers of oral expression and English in general in order to give opinion about using authentic materials in listening and how they enhance students in improving their comprehension and the second one is for second year LMD students department of English to know their attitudes about using authentic materials in learning. The analysis of the questionnaire had shown that both teachers and students consider authentic materials as a very beneficial tool in bringing the real discourse of the target language and more than that helping to develop listening comprehension as an important element in learning.
