Résumé: Background: Emotional regulation represents strategies for dealing with different life situations in a compatible manner by utilizing positive focus, acceptance, and plan-oriented stratigies. Objective: To explore the level of Emotional regulation and Addiction to social Media and the correlational relationship between them among secondary school students. Method: the descriptive correlational approach was adopted, The participants consisted of 111 purposely selected secondary school students (27 males and 84 females) aged between 15-21 years from three different secondary schools in the taher region of Jijel province. data was collected using the Emotional regulation Qeustionnare by Garnefski and Craige, Translated by ben nana khamisa and ben hamza Karima, and the Bergen facebook Addiction Scale, translated by Ben jediri saad. Results: the results revealed a moderate level of Emotional Regulation and Addiction to social Media. there was A negative correlation between Emotional Regulation and Addiction To social Media among secondary school students (r=0.256-). Conclusion: A negative association was found between the level of Emotional Regulation And the level of Addiction to social media among secondary school students, Indicating A negative Impact of these variables on individuals’ Mental health. thesehightlights the importance for psychologists to pay more attention to these variables in the future.
