Résumé: تعتبر الدراسات البلدانية الخاصة في دراسة المواضع والشواهد التاريخيه، ذات أهمية كبيرة في الدراسات الإنسانية، إذ تبين إمكانية المؤرخ واطلاعه في معرفة الشواهد التاريخية، ومن هذه الدراسات بحثنا الموسوم ))القلاع الدفاعية من خلال كتاب عجائب المقدور في أخبار تيمور لأبن عرب شاه (ت، ٨٥٤ه /١٤٥٠م) (( تضمن هذا البحث حقبة مهمة من التاريخ الإسلامي ألا وهي هجمات تيمورلنك على المشرق الإسلامي والعراق وبلاد الشام، وقد وصف ابن عرب شاه تلك الحملات مع ذكره الدقيق للقلاع التي حاصرها أثناء حملاته العسكرية في القرن التاسع الهجري - الخامس عشر الميلادي . Special country studies in the study of historical sites and evidence are of great importance in human studies, as it shows the possibility of the historian and his knowledge of historical evidence ( 854 AH / 1450 AD) This research included an important period from Islamic history to the attacks of Tamerlane on the Islamic East, Iraq and the Levant.
