Contribution À L'amélioration Du Routage Dans L'internet Des Objets Pour Le Support Du Trafic Multimédia
Résumé: The thesis deals with routing in IoMT (Internet of Multimedia Things) to guarantee the QoS and QoE required when transporting multimedia traffic in resources constrained LLNs networks. We first designed and implemented a multi-instance version of the RPL protocol called "MI-RPL" dedicated to the transport of a compressed multimedia stream. Then, we conducted extensive simulation experiments using the Cooja simulator, and implemented and validated the solution through field experiments using real testbed. Finally, we implemented a use-case (an LLN-based fencing surveillance system (LLN-FSS) using a multimodal approach) as proof of concept of our study. Simulation and experiment results showed the effectiveness of the MI-RPL protocol for video transmission in LLNs. In addition, the proposed LLN-FSS approach reduces dramatically the traffic transmitted over the LLN network, which lead to extend the network lifetime and provide a better user experience.
