Synthèse Bibliographique Sur Les Méthodes D’analyse Du Furfural Et Del’hydroxyméthylfurfural (hmf)
Résumé: The objective of this work is to study the methods of analysis of furfural and HMF, which are produced from the co-products of agro-industries (corn cobs, wheat straw, bagasse dates, ...) rich in pentosans (polypentoses: xylans and arabinans). They all contain lignin and cellulose, which could be valorized by producing these useful products. Different parts of the date palm are also used to produce furfural and HMF. The study indicates that the analysis of HMF that exists in honey is done by the OIV method, which includes the colorimetric reaction performed by a sodium preserved ether treatment in the FIEHE reaction and by barbituric acid in the WINKLER assay. HPLC is also one of the most effective methods, which must be carried out under the following conditions: room temperature and defined conditions of the stationary phase and the mobile phase
