Résumé: ملخص واجهت المصارف بمنطقة شمال إفريقيا والشرق الأوسط تحديات كبيرة فرضها التسارع نحو التدويل، العولمة، و تحرير تجارة خدمات ، هذا فضلا عن تلك المرتبطة بخصائص البنوك ذاتها ، فاعتمادها الكبير على الاستدانة الحكومية، ضيق السوق وصغر حجم المصارف رغم كثرتها، زاد من ضعف مركزها التنافسي وقضى على روح الابتكار. هدفت الدراسة إلى استعراض تطور سوق عمليات الاندماج والاستحواذ المصرفي بدول المنطقة خلال العشريات الأخيرة، مما ابرز أن التجربة حديثة العهد نسبيا ولا يزال سوقها متواضعا بسبب هيكل ملكية البنوك التي غالبا ما تعود للحكومات أو للعائلات المالكة وغياب القوانين والتشريعات التي تكفل بيئة سليمة تسهل وتؤطر هذا النمط من النمو. كلمات مفتاحية: عمليات الاندماج والاستحواذ، الاندماج المصرفي، دول شمال إفريقيا و الشرق الأوسط. تصنيف JEL: G38, G35, G33, G21. Abstract Banks in North Africa and the Middle East faced great challenges imposed by the acceleration towards internationalization, globalization, and the liberalization of trade in services, in addition to those related to the characteristics of the banks themselves, as their heavy reliance on government borrowing, market tightness and the small size of banks, despite their large number increased their weak position Competitive and innovative spirit. The study aimed to review the development of the market for banking mergers and acquisitions in the countries of the region during the last decades, highlighting that the experience is relatively recent and its market is still modest due to the structure of ownership of banks, that often belong to governments or royal families, and the absence of laws and legislations that ensure a sound environment Facilitates and frames this pattern of growth.
