تبرير الظاهرة الاستعمارية عند ستيفان أكصيل

Résumé: إن الدارس لظاهرة الاستشراق الفرنسي في كتابة تاريخ الجزائر تقريبا سيجد أن المستشرقين قد شكلوا الأسس الحقيقية لهذه الظاهرة وفق وسائل وأهداف كان الغرض الأكبر منها التبرير لظاهرة الاستعمار، وحينما نتطرق إلى الاستشراق الفرنسي فلا يمكن أن نتجاوز المؤرخ ستيفان أكصيل الذي هدف في أغلب مؤلفاته إلى تبرير الاستعمار الفرنسي بالاستعمار الروماني، بوصفه عاملا من عوامل الحضارة ومكملا لسابقه مع خلق تشويهات تمس التاريخ المحلي عموما، وعليه في هذا المقال سنعتمد على المنهجين الوصفي والتحليلي ونتوقف عند قضية ربط تاريخ الاستعمار الفرنسي بالروماني عند أكصيل، وكيف اعتبر المرحلة الثانية مكملة للمرحلة الأولى من التاريخ الأوربي في الجزائر، لكون أكصيل قد تنبه إلى أهمية التراث التاريخي لربط الفترة القديمة بالحديثة جاعلا من الفترة الإسلامية مجرد لحظة فراغ عاشها المغرب العربي عموما Whoever studies the French Orientalism phenomenon of writing the history of Algeria will almost certainly find that the Orientalists have laid the real foundations for this phenomenon through means and objectives, with the main purpose being the justification of colonization. When we delve into French Orientalism, we cannot overlook the historian Stéphane Gsell, who aimed in most of his writings to justify French colonization by comparing it to the Roman colonization, considering it a factor of civilization and a complement to its predecessor, while creating deformations affect the local history in general. Therefore, in this article, we will rely on the analytical approach and focus on the issue of linking French colonization to Roman colonization according to Gsell, and how he considered the second phase as complementary to the first phase of European history in Algeria, as Gsell emphasized the importance of historical heritage in connecting the ancient period to the modern period, making the Islamic era a mere empty moment experienced by the Maghreb region in general
