Incorporation Des Métaux Lourds Dans Les Pâtes De Ciment Portland
Résumé: Industrial waste, especially liquid phase waste, contains toxic heavy metals that can cause environmental damage that endanger human health if discharged directly into sewage networks. Using this effluent as mixing water for hydraulic bonds is the most widely used method to reduce the catastrophic impact of this waste. To do this, heavy metal loaded contaminated water (Cu+2, Pb+2, Zn+2, Fe+2) was used as mixing water. Cement mortar were used in proportions (water / cement) equal to 0,5. The bending strength and compressive strength of the studied formulas were evaluated at 28 days of treatment. Through the results of mechanical tests, a good retention of heavy metals in the slurry was observed for 28 days of lead and zinc. The type of metal used has an important influence on the mechanical properties of the prepared mortar. As a result, the approved formula allows heavy metals to be trapped in the cement matrix in the mortar while ensuring good mechanical strength.
