Iraq Relation With The Uk And The Usa : 1914 - 2008
Résumé: This dissertation aims first at analyzing Iraq's relation to Great Britain and the United States of America through different periods in the past from 1914 in order to discern whether the evolution and deterioration of these relations may have caused the 2003 invasion of Iraq. It has also the objective of shedding some light on some of the widely discussed motives behind Bush administration's decision to launch war against Saddam Hussein in March 2003. It has also the purpose of demonstrating that Bush's pretended intentions to create a stable government in Iraq, and turn it into a modern country were not easy to achieve, given the fact that Iraq seemed to move towards more instability, and did not become a strong state but a weak one. Such claims will be supported by the listed drawbacks of the war at the end of this dissertation.
