Transparency International: A Successful Model In Combating Administrative Corruption And Promoting Good Governance In Algeria

Résumé: Transparency International is a non-governmental and civil organization dedicated to reducing and combating corruption worldwide. This is achieved through the publication of reports that indicate corruption levels in each country, based on the Corruption Perceptions Index. The organization also raises awareness about the harmful effects of corruption and collaborates with governments, corporations, and civil society to establish and implement effective measures to combat corruption. Transparency International emphasizes the importance of adhering to transparency principles in the performance of local councils by enforcing laws and regulations, establishing a stable and continuous accountability mechanism characterized by reliable and sound administrative procedures, and involving citizens through information sharing. Furthermore, it develops strategies to train both the community and citizens by organizing awareness campaigns on ethical values and combating corrupt practices.
