البيتكوين في الأزمات: أداة استثمار، مضاربة، تحوط أم ملاذ آمن؟ دراسة تجريبية –جائحة كوفيد-19

Résumé: الملخص: أدى الطلب الكبير على عملة البيتكوين في فترة جائحة كوفيد-19 إلى طفرة كبيرة في أسعارها، فقد تجاوزت مبالغ خيالية لم يتوقعها أي مستثمر، وذلك في ظل الانهيارات المالية كبيرة في الأسواق المالية والأزمات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بسبب الجائحة. من خلال بيانات يومية من 01 جانفي 2018 إلى غاية 13 ماي 2022، تم التوصل إلى أن البيتكوين أداة تحوط في فترة الأزمات بسبب العلاقة الإيجابية بينها وبين قيم مؤشر S&P500، وأنها أداة مضاربة على المدى الطويل. وهي ليست أداة استثمار ولا ملاذ آمن ABSTRACT The great demand for the bitcoin currency during the Covid-19 pandemic led to a major surge in its prices, as it exceeded amounts that no investor expected, in light of the major financial collapses in the financial markets and the economic and social crises due to the pandemic. Through daily data from January 01, 2018 to May 13, 2022, it was concluded that Bitcoin is a hedging tool in the crisis period due to the positive relationship between it and the values of the S&P 500 index, and that it is a long-term speculative tool. It is neither an investment tool nor a safe haven.
