Végétation Urbaine : Entre Effets Micro Climatiques Et Représentations Des Usagers Cas De La Vile D'alger

Résumé: This research focuses on mental representations of users in relation to urban vegetation, especially their representations of microclimatic effects induced by its presence in urban areas. The aim of this research is to explore the mental representations of users in order to know the dimensions assumed by the urban vegetation and the place of microclimatic dimension in their representations. This work aims are to provide information that will help urban planners and architects in the development of urban projects considering vegetation with its human dimensions induced by the presence of users with their expectations, their preferences and practices and its microclimatic effects. To do this, we did an inquiry in the city center of Algiers at Didouche Mourad Street as a method using a questionnaire to 95 users. The main findings reveal:  The users are conscious about the microclimatic effect or urban vegetation and we can see it in their seasonal practices.  The users represent vegetation as an element that contributes to insure their physic and moral comfort.  The users appreciate a lot the shade and the lowering temperature due to the presence of vegetation.  The proximity between the residences and a green public garden do not mean that it will be used because there are some factors such as insecurity
