-the Contribution Of Green Islamic Sukuk To The Promotion Of Sustainable Development Objectives - Opportunities And Challenges

Résumé: Abstract There has been a growing interest in the past few years to issue sukuk of socially responsible invesment ‘SRI’ or green sukuk. A number of sukuk in this category has been issued in the international market to finance environmental-friendly projects. The growing trend to issue ‘SRI’ sukuk or green sukuk is mainly due to the natural progression of sukuk market, the growing awareness of investors toward ethically and socially responsible investment and the strictest capital requirements for the bank to finance infrastructural projects. The aspiration to issue green sukuk carries the virtue of contributing to global sustainable developments which are one of the essentials of Maqasid Shariah. Keywords: Islamic finance, Sukuk, sustainable development, green Islamic sukuk المستخلص كان هناك اهتمام متزايد في السنوات القليلة الماضية لإصدار صكوك الاستثمارالمسؤولة اجتماعيا (SRI)، أو الصكوك الخضراء. حيث تم إصدار عدد من الصكوك في هذه الفئة في السوق العالمية لتمويل المشاريع الصديقة للبيئة. ويرجع الاتجاه المتزايد نحو إصدار صكوك الاستثمار المسؤولة اجتماعيا أو الصكوك الخضراء أساسا إلى التطور الطبيعي لسوق الصكوك، والوعي المتنامي للمستثمرين نحو الاستثمار المسؤول أخلاقيا واجتماعيا ومتطلبات رأس المال الأكثر صرامة للبنك لتمويل مشاريع البنية التحتية. إن التطلع إلى إصدار صكوك خضراء يعمل على المساهمة في التطورات العالمية المستديمة التي تعد من أساسيات الشريعة الإسلامية. الكلمات الدالة: التمويل الإسلامي، الصكوك، التنمية المستدامة، الصكوك الإسلامية الخضراء.
