The Effects Of The Government Spending Threshold On Economic Growth In The Arab Maghreb Countries: An Econometric Study For The Period 2000-2022
Résumé: This study aims to measure the government spending threshold and determine its relationship with economic growth in the Maghreb countries, by estimating the government spending threshold during the period 2000-2022 using a set of economic variables, and using the panel threshold regression model (PTR). The study concluded that there is an effect of the threshold Government spending on economic growth in the Maghreb countries, with a non-linear relationship between them, as the results indicated a threshold level of 29.22%, and government spending rates below the the threshold level has a positive impact on economic growth, while government spending rates greater than the threshold level have a negative impact On economic growth in the Arab Maghreb countries.
