Résumé: This study aims to address the role of internal audit in activating the internal control system in the economic company, and that was based on a scientific and systematic method using the two research tools represented in each of the interview by conducting many personal interviews with officials in the study company, and observation in standing on the reality of this The system with all its details and features, which ultimately concluded to highlight the importance of internal auditing in activating and developing the internal control system and the efficient use of available resources, as well as in assessing risks and in the optimal utilization of resources and achieving comprehensive quality and achieving the company's goals based on the descriptive analytical approach This study aims to clarify the role of internal audit in activating the internal control system, and this is by answering the following main problem: What is the extent of the contribution of internal audit in activating the internal control system? The results of the study were: the internal audit works to develop and improve the internal control systems, and that the aim of evaluating the internal control system is to discover its strengths and shortcomings and thus its effectiveness
