Iot Enhancements In Algerian Desert Agriculture

Résumé: Integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) into the Algerian agricultural sector represents a major step towards improving productivity, making the industry more sustainable, and capable of addressing environmental and economic challenges. By using sensors that collect real-time data on elements such as soil moisture, temperature, soil luminance, and chemical composition, this technology allows for precise management of agricultural resources. This information is then analyzed to improve agricultural practices such as irrigation, fertilization, and protection of crops from diseases and pests. Additionally, IoT helps reduce waste and improve efficiency by automating processes, which helps lower costs. The goal is to assess performance improvement, resource use efficiency, and financial benefits, as well as the role of technology in adapting to environmental challenges. This article also highlights how integrating the IoT network into the agricultural sector in Algeria is a key step towards enhancing productivity, summarizing common wireless communication technologies in agricultural IoT from the fourth generation and potentially the fifth to shift from traditional farming to intelligent farming
