Résumé: قصة القط الأسود ( 1843 ) ھي قصة قصیرة للكاتب الأمریكي إدغار آلان بو، غنیة بالرموز بكل أنواعها الھدف من ھذا العمل ھو استكشاف رمز القط الأسود في القصة، و تسلیط الضوء على العنوان و الشخصیات، كما تھدف على فك الرموز و التعرف على مختلف التفسیرات،من خلال تطبیق نظریة فروید . یھدف ھذا العمل للإجابة على السؤال التالي كیف أستعمل الرمز القط الأسود في عمل ادغار الان بو ؟ و للاجابة على ھذا السؤال نفترض أن تفسیر الرمز القط الأسود ربما یعزز القارئ من استوعاب القصة .ینقسم العمل الحالي إلى ثلاثة فصول. ویتناول الفصل الأول مفھوم الرمزیة والنظریات الأساسیة مثل؛ فروید، دیسوسیر وایتھید و نظریاتھم للرمزیة . یحتوي الفصل الثاني على التحلیل الأدبي للقصة التي نحن بصدد دراستھا، تفسیر رمز القط الأسود عنوانا وشخصیة. ویتناول الفصل الثالث منھجیة القصة التي تتحدث عن التحلیل النفسي والأدب وطبقنا ذلك في القصة وفق النظریة سیجموند فروید . جمیع في كل شيء، وتھدف ھذه الدراسة إلى إظھار دافع إدغار ألان بو وراء استخدام الرموز في عملها " القط الأسود "( 1843 Abstract: In American literature, Edgar Allan Poe’s short story The Black Cat (1843) is a worthy symbolic story, in which symbolism invades all its components. The objective of this work is to explore the symbol black cat used in the story, casting light on the level of title and characters, and also to decode this symbol and identify the various interpretations they stand for, by applying Freud’s Theory. This thesis intends to answer the following question: how is the symbol of black cat used in Edgar Allan Poe’s work ? And to answer this question we hypothesis that : the interpretation of the symbol black cat may enhance comprehension of the story .The method which is followed in this study is analytic ,investigating and interpreting the symbol black cat in Poe’s short story . we have also used the method of psychoanalysis literary criticism to attempt understanding the link between the narrator and the black cat.This work contains three chapters. The first chapter deals with the notion of symbolism and its major theories such as Sigmund Freud, De Saussure and Whitehead theories of symbolism. The second Chapter contains the literary analysis of the corpus which we are going to spot light on, interpretation the symbol of black cat as a title and character. The third chapter deals with the methodology and findings of the story which talk about psychoanalysis and literature than we applied it in the story according to Sigmund Freud theory. All in all, this study aims at showing Edgar Allan Poe’s motive behind the use of symbols in his work “The Black Cat “ (1843).
