دور برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة في تكريس الحماية الدولية للبيئة.

Résumé: نتيجة التدمير المتواصل الذي تتعرض له قاعدة الموارد الطبيعية، والنقص الذي تعرفه الموارد المالية المتناقصة تفاقم حجم المشاكل البيئية، الأمر الذي استدعى تدخل المجتمع الدولي من أجل التصدي لقدرة الكوكب الأرضي على الاستدامة المتواصلة بطريقة تكون أكثر تنسيق وتلاحم. هذا وقد تُرجم هذا التدخل من خلال تزايد عدد الاتفاقيات البيئية المتعددة الأطراف التي كانت بحق انجازًا ملحوظاً، وهذا لدورها المهم المُلزم في حماية البيئية الدولية باعتبارها صكوكاً قانونية مُلزمة. يُمكن القول أن برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة احتل مركز الصدارة في جُهود المجتمع الدولي من أجل حماية البيئة، وقد دُعم دور هذا البرنامج من خلال قيام الأمم المتحدة بتشكيل فريق حكومي معني بحسن إدارة البيئة الدولية، والذي ضم في عضويته كل الوكالات الدولية المتخصصة وصناديق وبرامج منظومة الأمم المتحدة، وأمانات الاتفاقات البيئية المتعددة الأطراف. Abstract: As a result of the continuous destruction of the natural resource base, and the shortage of dwindling financial resources, the scale of environmental problems has exacerbated, which necessitated the intervention of the international community in order to address the planet's ability to continue to sustain itself in a more coordinated and coherent manner. This intervention was translated through the increasing number of multilateral environmental agreements, which were truly a remarkable achievement, and this is for their important binding role in the protection of the international environment as binding legal instruments. It can be said that the United Nations Environment Program has taken the lead in the efforts of the international community to protect the environment, and the role of this program has been supported by the formation of the United Nations governmental team on the good management of the international environment, which included in its membership all the specialized international agencies, funds and programs of the United Nations system the United Nations, and the secretariats of multilateral environmental agreements.
