Résumé: The purpose of this study is to study the reality of the Islamic windows in Algerian public banks. Accordingly, the analytical descriptive approach has been adopted, since it is appropriate to present the various concepts associated with the Islamic windows. A case study methodology has also been used, as we are looking at the experience of the Islamic window at the Algerian National Bank (BNA) –TOUGGOURT Agency. After addressing the issue, the study drew a series of conclusions, the most important of which were: - Islamic windows contribute to the gradual shift towards Islamic banking through the adoption of traditional banks providing Islamic banking services in parallel with traditional Arab services. - Islamic windows in traditional banks face many challenges and difficulties, such as weak legal and regulatory framework and lack of qualified human resources
