Résumé: In this study we evaluate the concentration toxicity and sources of PAHs in soil which pose a major threat to the ecosystem and humain health 16 hydrocarbons have been classified by USEPA as disease-causing Benzo [a]pyren was classified as the first in terms of damage caused by it Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are analysed using high-performance and accurate techniques such as gas chromatography , gas chromatography-mass spectrometry , high performance liquid chromatography and ultraviolet radiation The level of soil contamination was determined according to the canadien council of ministers standard So we proposed some methods of decomposing PAHs to treat the contaminated soils currently studied : biological treatment , chemical treatment and thermal absorption
