The Impact Of Trade Openness On The Unemployment : Case Of Algeria
Résumé: The main objective of this research paper is to empirically evaluate the theoretical relationship between unemployment and some macroeconomic determinants including among others trade openness and gross domestic product per capita in the short and long run in Algeria. The main question of this study is to know what’s the impact of trade openness on unemployment, An ARDL model was used over the period 1990-2018 and this was done using a program called EVIEWS 9.0. The empirical results of this study reveal that trade openness have negatively and statistically significant effect on unemployment and GDPper capita affects unemployment negatively and statistically significant, according to the chosen variables as well as the period and the model.
