Examining The Impact Of Multiculturalism In England

Résumé: The existence of Multiculturalism in any society is supposed to reduce the chances of a cultural clash between the different ethnicities living in that society, and as Multiculturalism has become inevitable thanks to immigration, many countries have worked to find policies to make the ideology of Multiculturalism functional. The importance of Multiculturalism in England has grown significantly. This research work is concerned with the impact of Multiculturalism in England; and its effects on Jews and Muslims living in England specifically. It tries to shed some light on the actual reasons; mainly Immigration, and the impact that made England a multicultural diverse society. The research illustrates the main reasons that paved the way for waves of people to immigrate to England before and after the Second World War till the present day, which led to the cultural diversity that created the England we know today. The study intends to explore two major ethnic minorities in England which are the Jews and Muslims and test the idea of multiculturalism on those two. So, the study is an attempt to investigate to what extent multiculturalism has been applied in England by examining the past and the present situation of the English and the Muslim and Jews. Finally, the interpretation of the study indicates that the three cultures affect each other. There is mutual interference between the English, the Jews, and Muslims with a different intensification for each ethnicity.
