Recherche Et Évaluation Du Pouvoir Allélopathique Des Extraits Aqueux De Deux Euphorbiaceae Récoltées Au Sahara Algérien
Résumé: The present study is centered on the evaluation of the allelopathic effect of the aqueous extracts of two plants harvested in the Algerian Sahara including Euphorbia guyoniana and Ricinus communis on the seeds of three species including one cultivated and two weeds. Weed seeds seem more sensitive to toxic effects compared to barley, and the weed species Dactyloctenium aegyptium is more sensitive to extracts (the E. guyoniana extract applied at 5% gives an inhibition rate of around 65 %) than to Bromus rubens. While barley is less sensitive to the effects of the extracts tested, only the pure extract of Ricin generates a mortality rate of 95%. Euphorbia guyoniana extract is more phytotoxic than Ricinus communis extract. The application of Euphorbia guyoniana extracts at high doses generates exceptional germination inhibition rates comparable to the results obtained with the synthetic herbicide. Extracts applied at 100-70% doses show very good allelopathic effects.
