Résumé: In 2015, American political scientist Graham Allison presented the Thucydides Trap theory based on the Greek historian Thucydides' analysis of the Pelonnesian War, which is based on the assumption of the inevitability of war when a rising state threatens the position of the dominant state in the international system. Today, as a rising country, China threatens the dominant position of the United States of America on the international scene, especially after the rapid and significant development in the field of advanced weapons technology. The study aims to clarify the extent of the inevitability of China and the United States of America falling into the Theodides trap, and to provide evidence and evidence through the nature of relations, the nature of the conflict between the two powers, and the extent of the impact of advanced weapons technology on the nature of the clash and its results. This geostrategic competition, especially in the Asia-Pacific region and the Taiwan Strait, has raised the possibilities between the outbreak of war between the two countries, cooperation, or the outbreak of a new cold war with different standards.
