Résumé: The phenomenon of scaling inevitably leads us to know and study the physical and chemical properties of hard water in general. These physico-chemical properties of water have a considerable influence on the service life of structures and hydraulic equipment. The use of hot water is influenced by scale precipitation in distribution pipes and control and cooling structures. These deposits can have detrimental and irreversible consequences on the works and inevitably lead to their deterioration (Tahar FARTAS (*), 2011). There are several (physico-chemical) processes for controlling scaling on the distribution network and hydraulic equipment. In the south of Algeria in general and the city of Touggourt in particular all circuits are fed by warm waters (albian). The most effective method to prevent the formation of scale deposits is the demineralisation station.
