Résumé: Through our study, which focuses on financing foreign trade through documentary credit, and the problem of research, which was to the extent of the effectiveness of documentary credit in financing foreign trade through the Algerian Foreign Bank Agency Toggert 2022?. Where we dealt in the first chapter with concepts about foreign trade and documentary credit, which is one of the strategic sectors on which the national economy is based and depends on in achieving development. Activating and facilitating the movement of foreign exchanges for both import and export operations, thus we relied on the descriptive analytical approach through the various settlement techniques that it provided to dealers in this field, the most prominent of which is the documentary credit technique. As for the field study, it is a case study in the Algerian Foreign Bank, an agency that was approved, and we sought to highlight how the import process works, through our exposure to an applied example, which is the import of auto spare parts through documentary credit. It makes it a mediator to complete business operations in a good manner. The study concluded that documentary credit is an ideal technique in international trade because it aims to ensure confidence and security for the importer more than the supplier.
