Résumé: Our research has made a journey to Arabic grammar and dealt with the defined problematics in it, which is by its turn consisted of named and unnamed issues that the grammarians tackled in their arguments and iscussions, and this what has previously appeared in the folds of their debates, as it became obvious to us through conducting this study the extent of its importance and its role in enriching Arabic grammar. One of these issue=was known as the musk issue which we took as a study model for our research, and it is also seen as "Laysa" (which is an equivalent to not in Arabic) issue, due to the Arabs saying "there is no smell but musk". That led to a disagreement between the grammarians such as: Al Sayrafi and Sibawayh in terms of its form and grammatical class in which Sibawayh said that the negation word "Laysa" has no function or influence on the word "musk" as the "ma" (another negation word) in the language of Beni Tamim, but this is still against the measurement and because the musk issue is one of the most difficult and complex Arabic issues that grammarians have conflicted in solving and confirming it, Ibn Burri tried to put an end to this confusion that exists between them.
