مهددات الأمن البيئي في منطقة الساحل وتأثيرها على ظاهرة اللجوء البيئي

Résumé: The climate crisis in the Sahel interacts with increasing instability, low level of investments in development, and leads to a combination of debilitating factors and severe stresses on the societies of the region. The climate emergency is exposing communities in the Sahel to even greater dangers, as devastating floods, droughts and heatwaves erode access to water, food and livelihoods, and magnify the risks of conflict. This will eventually force more residents to flee their homes. Algeria, by virtue of its geographical proximity to these countries, is vulnerable to large waves of displaced persons and environmental refugees, as it becomes a transit country for some, and a country of stability for others, and thus risks and threats to security will increase, in addition to the financial burdens of taking care of the increasing numbers of these refugees.
