Résumé: This paper tries to trace one of the most important terms derived from The AngloAmerican new criticism represented by one of its most remarkable critics T.S.Eliot and which is "The Objective Correlative". It is a central term in both Eliotian and new critical theories in the twentieth century. An important section in this paper has been devoted to examine the many origins of Eliot's ''Objective Correlative'' from French symbolism, Poundian imagism to Bradlean philosophy, and its impact of this notion on the Arab criticism.
