Résumé: The judiciary in Algeria is a fundamental pillar in ensuring justice and the rule of law. The Algerian judicial system has undergone several reforms aimed at strengthening its independence, especially with recent constitutional amendments. However, these reforms still face significant challenges. Key reforms include, enhancing legal guarantees for judicial independence, and reducing executive interference in judicial matters. Despite these efforts, obstacles remain, such as persistent political influence, limited human and material resources, and the need for more effective implementation of reforms. Achieving judicial independence depends on strong political will, the activation of oversight mechanisms to ensure judicial integrity , and the promotion of a culture of rule of law in society
