Résumé: استطاعت الكنيسة الإفريقية أن تمنح للساحة الأدبية عدّة شخصيات دينية متشّبعة بالثقافة اللاتينية ، عملت جاهد ة للدفاع عن هويتها الإفريقية ، كما أسهمت في تطوير الثقافة اللاتينية وإثراء الفكر المسيحي في ظل رغبتهم الجامحة والمتزايدة في ترك بصمتهم في مجال الآداب اللاتينية ، خاصة في ظل فترة الاضطهادات الدينية التي عرفتها الديانة المسيحية وما أعقبتها من مواجهات عسكرية من قبل معتنقي المسيحية ، نتيجة هذا الوضع أن برز مفكرين وأدباء مسيحيين، حملوا شعار الدفاع عن المسيحية ومحاربة أفكار الوثنية من خلال المناظرات والمراسلات الدينية، ومن بين ابرز المجادلين الذين برزوا في القرن الثالث ، نجد كل من شخصيتي أرنوبيوس وتلميذه لكتانتيوس ، من خلال هذه الدراسة سوف نحاول تسليط الضوء على واقع الكنيسة الإفريقية من خلال مؤلفات هذين الشخصيتين الدينيتين ، مستعرضين الجانب الأدبي لهما ، من خلال تقديم مقاربة تاريخية حول أهم مؤلفاتهما ، ومعرفة مدى ما حملته هذه الأعمال من تصوير لوقائع وأحداث القرنين الثالث والرابع ميلادي ؟. The African church was able to grant the literary arena several religious figures imbued with Latin culture, worked hard to defend its African identity, and also contributed to the development of Latin culture and the enrichment of Christian thought in light of their unbridled and increasing desire to leave their mark in the field of Latin literature, especially in light of the period of religious persecutions that the Christian religion among the most prominent Christian polemicists who emerged in the third century were A.D. We find both the personages of arnobius and his pupil of Lactantius , Through this study, we will try to shed light on the reality of the African church through the writings of these two religious figures, reviewing the literary side of them, by presenting a historical approach to the most important works and their writings, and to find out the extent to which , these works depict the facts and events of the third and fourth centuries AD ?
