Résumé: The present study aims to shed light on the phenomenon of investment in renewable energies and the possibility of achieving sustainable development. It also examines how the Algerian legislator has framed this endeavor within a legal and institutional framework through a series of laws and regulations. Notably, Law 09-04 on the promotion of renewable energies within the framework of sustainable development establishes the modalities for the exploitation and promotion of renewable energies. Furthermore, the Investment Law 22-18 dated July 24, 2022, aims to encourage investment, particularly in the renewable energy sector, to ensure sustainable and balanced regional development. The study demonstrates that developing renewable energies requires comprehensive reforms and the implementation of realistic, targeted policies to achieve lasting and sustainable development.
